Star Valley is located 30 miles south of Jackson Hole, a beautiful valley dotted with farms and is settled between the Salt River Range in western Wyoming and the Webster Range of eastern Idaho. Alpine, Wyoming is on the north end of Star Valley.

Meandering the length of the valley, the Salt River is a perfect cutthroat, rainbow and brown trout fishery. It's a great river for drifting or wading. Countless fishing access areas are available with a boat launch at nearly every road that crosses the Salt between Alpine and Afton.

The Snake and Greys River inter the valley on the north side and empty into the 20 mile long Palisades Reservoir. The Snake River is known for it's Lunch counter and Big Kahuna rapids, whitewater rafting trips take you through 8 miles of whitewater in the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. Combining spectacular scenery with the excitement of rolling rapids, this trip has all the ingredients for the perfect river adventure.

Outdoor activities are endless thanks to the neighboring Bridger-Teton and Caribou-Targhee National Forests that provide 6.4 million acres of public land. Star Valley provides great access for the outdoorsman and is home to world class hunting as well as, biking, camping, horse-back riding, kayaking, hiking, cross country skiing, site seeing, dirt biking, and snowmobiling.
