Located southeast of Swan Valley in eastern Idaho, Palisades Reservoir is a high-altitude reservoir and part of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Surrounded by steep forested mountains, the 16,000-acre reservoir is an excellent spot for boating, camping, and wildlife viewing. Fishing is excellent for cutthroat and brown trout, kokanee and mackinaw. It is easy to find your own private sandy beach around the banks. Boat ramps and camp sites are available.
